The hardest part is when you come up against, or you’re acting with, another person who is also really, really, really, really, really, really great. Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty ImagesShe cited Kidman opting on the first day of filming to do an emotional scene multiple times, delivering a stellar performance each take. “I haven’t recovered from that first day, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life,” Streep said.

We're at a restaurant and notice one or two couples eating in complete silence. It always seemed like their relationship was so awkward, and I felt sympathy for the silent couples. It is one of those things where it is probably more awkward for others than it actually is for us. I no longer see silence as an indicator of a troubled relationship; it's a sign of a successful one. And before long, our toddlers will become teens and then adults, and there will be no more silence at dinner for a long time.

Despite decades of research into suicide prevention, suicide rates among Indigenous people have remained stubbornly high, especially among Indigenous people ages 10 to 24, according to the CDC. Experts say that’s because the national strategy for suicide prevention isn’t culturally relevant or sensitive to Native American communities’ unique values. Several tribal communities are attempting to implement a similar system in their communities, said Cwik. Lucy Worsley Photo: PBSInspiring one of the largest police pursuits of her time, a certain celebrated detective novelist created a lingering real-life mystery by disappearing for 11 days in 1926. But she has seldom gone missing since—not from print, movies, the trans-Atlantic consciousness or public television, where another popular PBS import autopsies the writer in “ Agatha Christie : Lucy Worsley on the Mystery Queen.”Agatha Christie: Lucy Worsley on the Mystery Queen Begins Sunday, 8 p.m., PBSMs. Worsley’s investigations have largely concerned Tudors, Georgians, Victorians and U.K. Christmas traditions, but in this three-part and nearly three-hour deep dive, she explores not just the biography of the world’s best-selling novelist but what made her the writer and woman she was. The 1926 vanishing act isn’t even mentioned until episode 2. First we see the way the author’s eccentric family, its evaporating fortune, her traumatizing experiences as a World War I nursing volunteer and her work in the hospital dispensary (where she learned about poisons) influenced the 70-odd novels (as well as plays and short stories) that continue to disturb and fascinate readers across the globe. Ms. Worsley’s idea—a good one—is to track Christie’s life alongside her crime-ridden imagination and see where and whether the two intersect.

Ardith Lindsey, a managing director at Citi, alleged that her 15-year career at the bank had increasingly become a “traumatizing” experience, especially after she ended a relationship with a former supervisor. The supervisor, Mani Singh, then sent her dozens of threatening text messages, according to her lawsuit. Mark Costiglio, a Citi spokesman, said the bank had opened an investigation shortly after Ms. Lindsey disclosed the relationship in November 2022 and complained about Mr. Singh’s alleged conduct and messages. “When she reported the vile text messages to us, she described the relationship as having been consensual,” Mr. Costiglio said. He added that years earlier, Citi had investigated a personal financial transaction between the two, and that Ms. Lindsey described Mr. Singh as a friend at the time.
